Rich and complex. Nose is dried fruits and light peat. Spice from the sherry dominates the mid palate. Long, warming finish.

Classic Springbank funk/malt. Excellent.

Store pick from Max's Bottle Shop in John's Creek, GA. My local store. Excellent. 95/5 MGP Rye aged 8 years at cask strength. Herbal, plenty of oak tannins, and a big hug. Yum.

If this was my first peated single malt, I'm sure I would rate it higher. Stilll, excellent Speyside with a complex profile that balances it's smokey characteristics against its barrel finishes. Also, this is going for around $75 in my neck of the woods, which is a steal considering the age statement and barrel profile.
