Picked up a couple of bottles on clearance for $14.99(!!!). For that price I give this a 6 out of 5. It’s really friendly, light peat, light citrus, nice sweetness and vanilla. A bit watery for my liking, but compared to just about every 40% scotch I’ve tried this is one of the better ones. Not much else to say about it. 43-46% and it would be at least a 4 out of 5.

Found for $38 on clearance. Well worth that price, but wouldn’t purchase at full price (Glenfiddich 14 Bourbon Barrel Reserve is a better option in the price/age range). I didn’t get much of anything in the mid-palate. The cognac comes though in the finish, which was enjoyable, but overall this scotch feels like it’s lacking depth at 40% abv.

Unbelievably sweet when neat, like cream soda. I usually drink scotch neat or with a few drops of water, but could not get into this one. I didn’t mind it on the rocks with a big splash of Topo Chico. I definitely won’t buy again, but if you like scotch and soda it’s not bad.
