Tastes

First time I tried this one, I tasted quite a bit of smoke, and some herbs/spices. Later on, the smokiness made some room for more flavour. I don't seem to find the fruits some people taste, though. For me, Red Label would be ok if there's nothing else, but wouldn't buy myself really.

'Found' this one in my wife's cooking cabinet. Nose and palate are quite sweet, honey-like with a sense of vanilla. Medium to long finish, with some brown sugar. Not bad, but nothing special either. OK voor cooking, I guess :)

Purchased a 'limited edition' giftset, including a miniature bottle of Uisge Source water taken from the distillery's water source, the Pitilie Burn. Nevertheless, In my opinion, this nice 12 year old doesn't really need any added water though. Nice nose and palate with hints of honey and some fruits. After reading other notes, I also can find some idea of apple and caramel. Moderate, but pleasant aftertaste. (Numbered Batch: 2905)
