Balvenie Doublewood 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 17, 2021 (edited June 11, 2022)Great whisky. Strong nose, sharp, I don’t really like the nose. But the palate is hot, in a nice way, the finish is semi sweet, also hot in a nice way. Holding it on your tongue is nice, further flavours come out, not sure what. I like the finish, good whisky taste at the end, appreciate that. -
Highland Park Twisted Tattoo 16 Year
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 14, 2021 (edited June 11, 2022)Amazing! Not much nose. What a kick! Complex peaty taste. Hot aftertaste but washes away quick. I smell some chocolate on the nose. The taste is sweet and spicy, there’s a note of fruit at the bottom of my tongue on the palate. Love the peat at the end - mild peat. -

Glenmorangie The Original 10 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 14, 2021 (edited June 11, 2022)Nose is hot; spicy, too sharp. Slight caramel, sweetness. Palate doesn’t have much, but if a fruit finish, lots of afterburn, gets less pleasant as you rest longer, but not bad. Nose is a bit of Apple. Too much burn for my taste nut a nice complex whisky -
