Color is light golden - like an Irish whisky or a lighter bourbon. Relatively good legs, numerous. Nose is light, with definite peat notes of an Islay malt. A little of sweetness and oak as well (likely from the bourbon casks). Taste is a little harsh up front but mellows out into warm vanilla and peat notes. A little grassyness is buried deep in there as well as that bourbon sweet. Finish returns to the light smokiness.

Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 2, 2016 (edited October 15, 2016)Rich Amber color, solid legs. Nose is sweet, a little sweet ethanol at the end. Fruity, floral. Pallet is also sweet, fruity/floral. Notes of oak. Finish is strong, a little too much alcohol but that fades into warm oak notes and elderberry(?)
