Oily and smokey, but the peat could be great if not for the odd sweetness and thinness of it. Would probably work best as a mixer, where some bitter or citrus could cover up the weird slickness and let the peat stand out. Considering the cost, not horrible.

Big on smooth wheat and corn, with a slightly piney finish.

Would make a good Maker's Mark clone were it not for the price. Wheaty, some vanilla in the taste and a spicy finish.

Pretty good - salty, earthy, and a little spicy.

Spicy nose with a bit of a 'slippery' taste and nice, just-bitter-enough-to-be-interesting finish that make this something I look forward to trying again.

Sweet nose, almost a bit of apple cider, nice taste with hints of olive oil and caramel, with a salty finish.

Surprised by how much I like this- was not sure what to expect. Wheat forward nose, with a small hint of chocolate, leading to a heavily malted/caramel taste that finishes with subtle bitterness and more chocolate.

Oak and faint apple spice in the nose, with a nice corn/wheat taste that reminds me of regular Maker's Mark, before the big boozy finish kicks in. Worth the few extra bucks more over regular MM.
