Nose: not a whole lot going on unless you get close. For MGP sourced juice I was expected a little more. Definitely can tell this is heavy in rye notes. Everything falls a bit flat at the end. Decent but there are many better barrel proofs for the price.

Honestly I only poured this up because it was sitting at a friends house and I saw how high the rating is on here. I will say this is worth a 4-4.25. From the crazy young age statement along with the interesting mash bill alone it’s worth it. Even if you aren’t a rye fan, give this a try. Worth retail for sure.

This one is a flavor explosion. When I picked up the bottle in the store I was originally skeptical because I like at least 100 proof. Upon sipping, I am glad they proofed it as it is. What an incredible mix fruity nutty flavors! This juice might as well be a charcuterie board in bourbon form. A must try.

Amazing and flavorful front end, but not super impressed with the finish. Just heat going down without much complexity. A decent pour none the less.

My second tasting of this was very different than my first. Tends to happen with pours like this. Nose is smooth and mellow just like the taste. Nice oaky vanilla finish. Now to find this on a shelf... that becomes the problem.

Not usually a fan of finished bourbons, but this is really solid. It finishes HOT.

This gets a 4 for the value to taste alone. Reminds me of a high proof Willett with remote notes of EHT. Finishes pretty hot, but a little flat. But this is comparing it to the bottles that are orders of magnitude more expensive with the same mash. If you see it, pick it up just to try this one. Glad Buffalo Trace is doing something interesting.
