I’d pass on this again

Nice. Not memorable

I don’t care for peat flavor in general really. This to its credit is not overpoweringly peaty. Interestingly they age the single malt in their own used bourbon barrels from the “nursery” batch that feeds the solera cycle. Finished two weeks in oloroso casks, 2 weeks in Pedro Jimenez casks and they malt their own barley grown on the farm.

Very nice sweet, grappa-like, clean finish rye. Not too spicy even though it’s 60% rye. Tastes like New Make - ‘cause it basically is even though it has seen the inside of a barrel."

A nice spicy burn but not a very interesting flavor. It’s fine but there are better things. Too much burn, not enough flavor

I like this straight up, for sipping. Tasty, good bite.

Creamy but a bit bland and not much bite (low proof)
