Tastes

Vanilla bomb on the nose. Standard flavors. Minor bite on the finish but sweet and loaded with caramel and vanilla. Pretty solid sipper for an easy night.

Barrel no. 14-936. Really solid pick. Spice on both the sip and finish. Vanilla and oak, floral and fruity. No business being this good at just four years old.

Oak and leather, caramel. Lots of spice. Rich and sweet. Drinks fairly hot. But with an ice cube and 15 mins opens up nicely. A ways off from their namesake bourbon but pretty solid.

Fruit forward, vibrant on the palette. Brown sugar and honey. Finish is somewhat short with spice and fruit (apples, plum). More aged stock and a some proof points would really amp this up. But very nice and flavor is great. Really good stuff here.

Sweet and minty. Corn, fruit. Tingle on the finish. Really nice.

Sweet and spicy, with oak and pepper on the finish. Stone fruit and fresh wood. Nose would make you think kind of young but palate and finish are more complex which is nice.

A fine pour. But didn’t get a ton of the Cabernet influence I expected. Slightly fruity but not very complex.

Caramel, vanilla, honey, brown sugar, wet oak, baking spices.

LBWC store pick. Lots of standard flavors. Not super hot. Lots of brown sugar beneath oak. Rickhouse 1, floor 5, rack 41. 9 years.

This is a really well done pour. Typical flavors but has some nice bite to it and some fruity notes I really enjoy.
