I can’t say that I am a huge fan of original Woodford but this is an excellent full proof bourbon. Goes in a bit warm but smooths out on the finish. Lots of flavor. It’s not needed but adding a little bit of water cooled it off nicely and brought out a myriad of different flavors that weren’t readily apparent on first taste.

Excellent smooth and buttery. Proof point is perfect. Lots of flavor.

Nothing special at first but as I got to the end of my glass the subtle fruity sweetness started to come out more and more. I think I would like this as a dessert bourbon with a piece of nice light milk chocolate cake

Two years old and just plain boring. Corn on the nose and corn on the pallet. No complexity whatsoever. More of a gimmick than anything. Easy to sip on if you really enjoy a sweet corn forward nose and palate. At this age a higher proof would do nothing for it other than make it taste boozy and harsh. It could be an decent whiskey, it just needs about four more years in the barrel.
