Crunchy and Smooth One of my favourites. Sweet crunchy spiciness. Cinammon, aniseed, pepper, leather, vanilla and oak. Nice gentle heat. Not too overpowering. The bottle is great also.

Colour: Golden. Cling: Clings lightly. Nose: Sweet & malty. Butter. Honey. Taste: Honey. Nice smoothness. Very subtle smoke and oak. Salt. Malty, sweet. Slight butteriness. Water: Nose opens up. More malt. Sharper less smooth taste. Summary: Subtle! Salty, sweet. Best neat Score: 8.5 Tasted: Apr 2010.

Colour: Light gold. Clear. Cling: Light, streaky. Oily. Nose: Brine. Smoky. Hint of sweetness. Taste: Smoky. Slightly medicinal. Heat. Salty. Water: Smells sweeter. Apple. Oily texture. Summary: Complex. Salty. Best with water Score: 8.5 Tasted: Mar 2010

Colour: Reddish brown, auburn, glistens. Cling: Clings lightly. Nose: Fruit, figs, prunes, raisins, honey, vanilla, fudge, oak. Rich dry fruit. Taste: Rich and fruity. Butterscotch, oily. Light spice. Dry resin, oak. Long finish. Water: Less fruity. More oak, butter. Summary: Best neat but watch out - very rich Score: 9 Tasted: Dec 2009. Mar 2010
