there’s only one distillery in El Salvador that produces at any volume. The rum was actually aged in El Salvador for 10 year, then 22 months in KY (so not quite another 2 years, which is why it says 11 years). The first batch done is “fire” a blend of the different types of barrels - so, ex-bourbon, ex-port, ex-sherry, and ex-rye all combined.

A little warm, but a very good aged rum. Hogo, ripe banana.

spicy, grainy bourbon like nose. Rich caramel, vanilla, and oak Comes on and finishes strong. Truly a great bass sipper. My favorite offering from mount gay.

All spice, vanilla, butter scotch, octane at 60%

palate: Butterscotch, vanilla, green apples, banana. a slightly bitter and dry finish to balance it out. Oak and cognac also at the end.
