Canadian Club Chronicles 41 Year
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed May 9, 2019 (edited August 19, 2020)One if the most complex Sweet whiskies I've had. Never overpowering, lot of bright spices and slight barrel notes dancing around. Very silky and luxurious. -
1st taste: Very rich, caramel apples and baked cinnamon spice on nose. Vanilla, heavy alcohol, needs to sit for minutes. Dense caramelized sugars, intermingled baking spices, caramel apple, brown sugar/Maple and barrel dryness on finish. 2nd: Less apple, some banana? More barrel influence on palate but retains dense sweetness and less burn.

Laws Secale Straight Rye Bottled-In-Bond
Rye — Colorado, USA
Reviewed April 22, 2019 (edited October 29, 2022)Very unique nose, not the same spices as most Rye. Definitely get the Orange combined with an earthy black tea. Signature honey/granola from Laws. Well balanced with enough bite. -
