On the nose, it has a less acetone feel than the 12 double cask-surely the extra 3 years made it more mellow. Sweet, with hints of toffee, butterscotch, a hint of dried fruit, milk chocolate and vanilla. On the palate is sweet as well, way more than the 12 yr. Little spicy, with cinnamon, white pepper, caramel, clove, raisin, toffee again. Not long legged on the finish side, but not too short either. I bought this bottle overseas, where the dollar to Colombian peso conversion brings it down to $120 with taxes, so I pulled the trigger. It’s a 700ml bottle however, but I don’t feel dissatisfied nor disappointed. I think I will rather save money and drink this one over the 12 yr Double Cask, but that is because I have family in Colombia that can bring me a bottle every 3 months or so.

The nose is welcomed by vainilla, caramel, honey, floral, and hints of cinnamon. On the taste, there is a sweetness, followed by honey, caramel, strong vanilla , and a hint of spices at the end. Very oily, the finish is long and smooth. I definitely recommend it, its a true winner at its price range

Glenfiddich 12 Year Our Sherry Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed October 1, 2022Oak, sherry, lightly fruity on the smell. The Amontillado gives this whisky a particular flavor on the palate. A little bit hot for a 43% abv. Spices at the end, cinnamon mostly, and bitter finish. I bought this bottle since it was affordable and I never had a scotch with an Amontillado finish before. It didn’t disappoint if you consider the price range. -
Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 16, 2022 (edited September 6, 2022)Tiramisu is what I taste and smell in this glass, great creamy dram, the initial nosing brings strong aroma of creme brûlée and mocha. The taste didn’t disappoint as well, with caramel, coffee, and chocolate at the end of the palate. Perfect whisky to pair up with desserts. -
When nosing and tasting neat you can feel the cask strength hotness. Musk, vanilla and caramel are noticeable in the nose, with chocolate and toffee in the tasting, along with leathery and malt flavors. I prefer drinking this with ice or water to temper down the alcohol, and the result is a better rounded whiskey. The finish on this one is amazing, and it lasts for a while.
