Nose: Subtle hints of vanilla. Sweetness of sugar and fruit. Oaky as expected from a bourbon cask. Palate: Sweet and smoky. Vanilla and caramel with some orange notes. Oaky taste is pleasant. Finish: Longer than expected. Sugary sweetness lingers with some vanilla trailing behind. Overall Thoughts: Deliciousness as expected from a Glenfiddich, admittedly a personal favorite. Sweetness goes a long way for me and this has a perfect blend of hearty and delicate flavor. I was gifted this bottle a few years ago by a Scottish friend and I’ll always be happy they introduced me to Glenfiddich.

Nose: Almost doesn’t even smell like Scotch. Very sweet with a little smoke. Fruity and spicy. Vanilla present as well giving it a syrupy smell. Palate: As sweet as the nose. The casks smokiness is strong and blends well alongside the sweetness. Vanilla notes keep it smooth. Finish: Medium-long. Smokiness lingers and keeps it interesting. Oaky and sweet. Overall Thoughts: This is a delightful dram. Glenfiddich rarely disappoints me and the 15 certainly holds that to be true. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Scotch that doesn’t try too hard to be bold. It’s a sweet one that is easy to relax with.

Nose: Gentle. Slightly spiced. A little butterscotch as well. Very pleasant. Palate: Spice coming through with some cinnamon as well. Oak fused with malt flavor as well. Sorry if that’s a little silly but this is just a very subtle dram! Finish: As gentle as expected based on the nose and the palate. Nice and easy but goes quickly. Almost calming in a way. Could easily knock back two and head to bed. Overall Thoughts: Excellent stuff. I adore mostly all Glenfiddich to begin with but this has been a favorite of mine for a while. I will always recommend this one.
