Rich flavor. Strong peanut and somewhat bitter finish, neither of which are my jam. Yet this bottle was finished quickly and would purchase again.

Smells like a dusty hay field. Or a barn floor. Tobacco barn? Apple cider, banana, butterscotch. Sweet grass. Cocoa nibs. Tobacco. Spices. Peppery finish. I don’t get any dill or herbal notes, and the spice takes a background to the barnyard funk. Like you’ve just been transported to a barn. I understand why this is released in the fall. Very fun! Revisiting this it is so strongly pumpernickel rye. Overall it’s like if you made banana rye bread. Very unique and worth a shot!

This is a cherry bomb for me. Strong cherry syrup on the nose and palate. Nothing else stands out as it is covered by the cherry. Nothing offensive about it, but it’s not going to blow you away either. As one who likes the cherry note I enjoy this bottle, very much worth the $19 price point.

Batch 15 18 mo. old stated on the back Right off the bat this is surprising me with a deep chestnut color. The smell is initially rye notes, some mint, but then there is so much more; maple syrup, black cherry, banana, pecan pie, almond, some smoke. Smells great, again it’s surprising me this is only 18 mo old. On the palate I finally find the youth with grassy notes showing up, and more alcohol burn than there ought to be at this proof. Some of the flavors from the nose come through. Overall this is really interesting, the smell is very unique in my opinion (in a really good way) but it’s youth is making it just ok. I think at 4-5yrs in the barrel this could really be amazing stuff. I’ve found this to be a great bottle to enjoy around a campfire. It’s unique, easy to drink, and has a great smoke note to it.

I love other Wild Turkey products but this one I do not enjoy. I find it to be saccharine sweet but also bitter, an unfortunate combination.
