Toasted apple. I know I should be expecting vanilla and caramel here, but maybe it's a bit too hot or maybe I'm a bit too sick. Great body. Firey, even with a few pebbles and a splash of water. Not gonna have any more of this until this cold resolves though

Delivers everything fundamental that I'm looking for in a peated islay, basically. Wish the price point for this and comparables (like Laph 10) were like $10 cheaper still.

Nose: vanilla forward, some new-make/non-heart smell (which I actually like here, last few whiskies I've samples have been too subtle on the nose). Maybe even some slight brine, turpentine Palate: oak forward imo. Like kinda chippy. Pretty good, but not pulling out anything else distinctive that's with writing down

Nose: vanilla, sugar, very light wood Taste: follows through on the nose. Less caramel than previous bottles from tonight. Not woody, thinnish

Nose: turpentine, warmed spices, light woodwork Taste: caramel, cherryade, wood back. Body is familiar, like liquid

I appreciate the rather unrefined heat and spice on it. Full on caramel, a little green smoke. The nose wasn't giving "baking spice" or "tea leaves" to me necessarily. I'd say it was kinda dusty on the nose, but maybe that was just my glass. Body was good but not a bullseye.
