Tastes

Almost to smooth. I taste the butterscotch and vanilla but miss the other tasting notes. Very calm and enjoyable.

The nose is clearly sugar cane. As it falls off you get a smooth light hint of several flavors. Part of the smoothness comes from the lack of alcohol taste that so many other shippers have at the finish. I disagree with the reviewers complaining that it is an overpowering sugar. It isn’t too much but is the highlight you notice since it is the primary focus. Good but can’t have it as my everyday supper because it goes down to easily.

Strong vanilla and a hint of butterscotch on the nose. Finishes quickly in your mouth to a peppery bite with a bit more alcohol flavor on the back end than I would prefer. For the price it is a good sipping rum.
