Tried all Pappy Van Winkles on flight in Frankfurt Kentucky. The 12 was noticeably different of the Pappy's I tried and, perhaps not coincidentally, my least favorite of the four. Still delicious, mind you, but lacking from those top-of-the-line variants. Worth paying more for the 15 yr.

Tried all Pappy Van Winkles on flight in Frankfurt Kentucky. The 15 was my second favorite out of four (neat) and by far the most and strongest flavors. Drank it neat, but I bet a dash of water or ice cube would make it delicious and perhaps the best of the pappys. Got an empty bottle to take home!

Tried all Pappy Van Winkles on flight in Frankfurt Kentucky. The 20 year ranked third out of four for me. It lacked the character and flavor of the 15 year and the smooth oakiness of the 23 year. Did smell the best though

Tried all Pappy Van Winkles on flight in Frankfurt Kentucky. The 23 was my favorite and the most sippable with the strongest oak and vanilla characteristics. Got another glass and the bottle to take home!
