Jeptha Creed Four Grain Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 22, 2019 (edited April 28, 2020)Aged at least 2 Years. Light on the nose. Not much change or complexity as it opens. Not flawed, but needs more aging. My score was 78.5 -
I'm torn, and while I could probably drink this all day long, I feel that it could also pass for a liqeuer, and has artificial or additional sweetener added. Reducing that, and a higher proof would probably bring this to a Gold, or close in a Competition. I know some Judges who score this lower. My score was 80

Spirits of French Lick Aquavit
Aquavit — Indiana, USA
Reviewed October 22, 2019 (edited June 23, 2022)A quintessential Aquavit that will take your mind and palate to Scandinavia! Pumpernickel, Rye and Anise lead the way, with an unidentified flavor there as well. At 92 proof, it never tastes hot, and the higher ABV adds body, power and intensity to the finish!! An exemplary Aquavit from West Baden, IN. Kudos!! My score was 97 -
Goodwood Stout Barrel Finish
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 22, 2019 (edited September 29, 2020)As it is opening, the stout finish becomes more apparent. Balanced nose. Although finished for only 3 months, the stout seems to overtake the Bourbon. Something seems off and out of balance on the finish. This sits on shelves for a reason; it's not balanced, and overpriced! The distillery is unknown, but believe it to be in KY. My score was 79130.0 USD per Bottle
