Bright green apple, with a brown sugar finish. The nose doesn’t do it justice, but it’s smooth and enjoyable. Reminds me of a caramel apple pop.

Leather on the nose, with an initial booziness that’s quickly mellowed by an earthy peatiness that leads to a sweet and fruity finish.

2020 Advent: Day 1 — Damn! Love the depth on this one. The perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and a tad of pepper. I get a lot of brightness at first, which gives way to a complex fruitiness that’s tempered by the oak, with a subtle and lingering rye spiciness at the end. Smooth for the booze, with a nice orange note.

Spicy with a burn. Harsh varnish at first yields to a sweet, full bodied finish with a floral astringency that lingers.
