**Taste:** You have the Wild Turkey “Funk”… You have the Barton “Blast”… Those delicious yeasty oaky punches that hit you right at the forefront of your tasting experience. Now I have found the Michter’s “What The Fuuuuuu…” This initial hit tastes like moldy wood. It made my tongue feel weird. It’s was a very unpleasant experience. But then, for a brief moment, it gives way to a sweet and spicy deliciousness. If that hidden taste wasn’t trapped by the gross bits, this would be a top shelf bourbon. But. It is, so it’s not. The brief deliciousness saves it from complete disaster, but just barely. **Score: Meh [1]** **Finish:** I thought the worst was over. I was wrong. After the sweetness subsided there is a horrid aftertaste. It’s like when you accidentally eat a piece of rotten food. You spit it out, but that nasty taste stays with you. And it won’t leave. This one doesn’t quite make you contemplate licking a cats ass to change the taste, but it toes too close to that line for comfort. **Score: Meh [1]** **Taste after a bit of H2O** (*Because, Pappy drank bourbon over ice, and so do I*): It doesn’t help. Well, it mutes it, but it doesn’t make it a nicer experience inby any sense of the imagination. **Score: No change over initial taste.** **Value at MSRP:** MSRP is around $45. There is no way I’ll buy this again. In this price range you are competing with Old Forrester 1910/1920, Knob Creek SiB Reserve, Four Roses SiB, 1792 Full Proof and Woodford Double Oaked. Which is irrelevant, as many sub-$20 bourbons leave this one in the dust. **Score: Overpriced [0]** **Overall:** This is was a hot mess for me. But, that’s the funny thing on bourbons, one person’s WTF? Is another persons WTF! If this is on your love list, then have at it. But, this one is not for me. If it was a single barrel, I might have given it another shot due to the mostly positive reviews out there. But, it’s not, so I don’t plan to. **Score: Leave this be, there are better options [2] **
