Dalmore Port Wood Reserve
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed December 25, 2019 (edited January 28, 2020)Very neat port smell off the nose. It’s a small quick burn which is surprising for something that’s a higher proof. The sweetness kicks in as well to have a very nice marriage of flavors in the end. -

WhistlePig The Boss Hog 六: The Samurai Scientist
Rye — Canada
Reviewed December 15, 2019 (edited February 27, 2020)Simply amazing. Quite a complex and sophisticated taste leaving you wanting more to see if you can find more of the hidden flavors. Don’t let the proof scare you, it’s smoother than it has any right to be. -

Aberlour A'bunadh Alba
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed November 21, 2019 (edited February 22, 2020)For a cask strength whiskey, this one is surprisingly smooth. It needed an ice cube to help it breathe a bit but has a nice finishing burn to it. -
