Smoke and peat, with the freshness of irish whiskys would be a good summary. The aftertaste is what impressed me the most, with its more sweet and fresh flavors lingering for a while after the smoke and peat initial flavors diminished. A great surprise and an immediate favorite. Definitely a must try for any fan of irish and smoky whiskys. Great served neat. On ice it tends to lose some of its lingering sweet and fresh flavors.49.25 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

A go-to for me when I am unsure what to get. Quite sweet, some wood and a bit of spice notes; resulting in a fresh and great flavor combination. The 101 proof is held well in check by the flavor profile and as a result is a lot smoother than one might expect. Also, its price point is extremely competitive where I live. It is difficult to find anything better in its price bracket. Great served neat or on ice.37.25 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection

Very surprised with this one. The wood notes from the french oak staves added in the barrel are extremely present. In fact, I can barely recognize the normal Maker's Mark through it. More wood notes and a bit sweeter than the original. Its higher price compared to the original (13$ CAD more where I live) limits it from becoming an immediate recommendation over the original. A must try. It became immediately a favorite of mine. Excellent served neat.51.75 CAD per BottleSAQ Sélection
