Old Forester 100 Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 16, 2019 (edited December 17, 2019)Sweet cherry cola nose with just enough heat and spice. Was really surprised for a $22 dollar bottle. Will be adding to my rotation of daily drinkers. A little hard to find in my area so will buy another when I see one in my travels.22.0 USD per Bottle -
Jefferson's Reserve Old Rum Cask Finish
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed October 17, 2019 (edited February 28, 2021)Very smooth easy sipping bourbon. I enjoyed neat in a rocks glass with 15 minute rest. Good initial taste that I wish would linger a little bit longer. No real burn. I could see this as a introductory bourbon for a non bourbon drinker. Was a little on the expensive side but had a 20% off sale so thought I give it a try.72.0 USD per Bottle -
Bought as a bottle shelf bargain $16 for a liter. Nothing special here, would use it for a mixer or serve on ice to a non bourbon drinker if they asked to try it by name. Aged at least 36 months it says on the neck of the bottle. Tried at room temp. In a rock glass. Smoother than expected but I noticed a strange after taste that wasnt expected about half way through the glass. Not bad just a little strong/different. But for the price you can only expect so much right.
