This is a 2016 Xmas gift from Cricket. The 18 year old is made in small batches, and the batches are mixed after 18 years to be married for 3 months, producing specialized blends. this is batch #3585. She is so sweet. Nose of sugarcane, lightly toasted caramel, apples and pears. I think of pirates in the Caribbean and vacations on beaches. Sweet rum is present, followed with a sweet bourbon. A light oak finish. I'd have to say this may be my favourite whiskey so far.

I like rye quite a bit. This whisky is great. It is extremely distinct and recognizable. It is smooth and carries with it undertones of simple fruits and spices. The sweetness is approaching that of a bourbon. This drink earned its top spot. This is a whisky to share with good friends. $36.99 a bottle as of today.

This is a distinct whisky in its simplicity. It hints of slightly more grain than the Gold Label which fills the mouth with a warm, tannin-like finish of short- to mid-duration. Noses of light combination of dark fruits and hints to cognac while in contact with the mouth. Quite nice, but I'm not sure if its better than the cheaper JWs, or just different, and in some ways, smoother.
