Auchentoshan 12 Year

Creamy and smooth with a slightly fruity finish. Sort of evokes a bourbon. After a touch of water the alcohol comes through more which was unexpected. Definitely prefer this without water.

Very soft feeling. Creamy. Prefer it without any water added.

Faint cigar smell, also on the nose: musty sweet leather and dusty figs. Palette: layered good musty, mild smoke in the middle, maybe some pineapple in the back end (haha) and honeydew melon. Then after a while a baking slice maybe nutmeg

Cherry

Oak, leather, tobacco, but smooth.

Sweet and fruity on the nose. Rich on the tongue with more fruit but tart. And the spice and vanilla. Lingering finish for a 12-year, but not as long as the Auchentoshan Three Wood.

Drinkable, but without being anything special. Nose : vanilla, floral notes, citrus blossoms, slight smoke that dissipates quickly Palate : mostly vanilla and sweet/caramel notes, some alcohol burn ; disappointing after the nose Finish : medium length, fairly indistinct flavors
