Averna Amaro

Gotta love it

Best amaro in my opinion. Herby, beautifully medicinal and syrupy; think rosemary and sage plus a suble but consistent undertone of beautifully caramelised bittersweet blood orange (from Sicily of course). Not the easiest but definitely the most complex of those southern amaros, sorry for the other regions but for me Sicily gets the crown.

Sweet and herbal. Anise and touches of chocolate and coffee. Very good to sip after a great dinner.
