Color: Mahogany
Nose: Peanuts | Vanilla | Caramel | Light Ethanol
Classic nuttiness have noted in Beam products. Not as overwhelming and in your face as some of the Booker’s batches I have tasted but very present.
Palate: Light to medium mouthfeel. Peanut flavors overwhelm the palate in addition to medium heat. Subtle notes of vanilla and caramel persist but the palate is somewhat overwhelmed by the nutty flavors.
Finish: Very nice finish as the heat dissipates. The vanilla and caramel notes quickly dissipate leaving you with a rather pleasant oak and peanut finish.
Sweet and smoky on the front, with a hint of oak yielding to a warm smooth swallow and lingering vanilla. Brightens considerably with a splash of water or couple of ice cubes, losing some of the harsher smokiness along the way.
