Basil Hayden Dark Rye

Caramel apple, port wine, slight bite at the end.

could just be how much I love port, but this really speaks to me. very sweet, very nutty

Sweeter than I expected, but pleasant. Significant briny aftertaste.

Like most Basil Hayden's, it's very light on the palate. This dark rye is quite sweet, even for BH. Little to no bite, so you can down a glass of this very fast... or make it disappear into a mixed drink. Good for a common drink, but you'll be looking for far better if you want something to savor.
