Blue Run Reflection I Kentucky Straight Bourbon

First pour if this and I really enjoyed it. Definitely milder than the other Blue Run releases. The 95 proof was evident. I typically lean to hotter/heavier bourbons, but the lighter pour is a good change, especially when it’s hot outside. More to come on this one, but I can see this being a great summer sipper.

Sweet cola, chocolate, smooth, fades to viscous brown sugar, and nutty flavor. Slight rye in the finish very well balanced. Four roses influenced. Nov 8, 2024. Tasting this again in a while, side by side with a Wyoming whiskey NP edition, and I have to think this blend might contain some Wyoming whiskey. Thoughts?

There is a delicate, softness (but not watery) to the approach. Nose isn’t strong but an easy sipper

I just opened my bottle and find this to be a delicious bourbon. Normally I’m a high proof sipper and bottles in the 90s leave a lot on the table. Not this one. Plenty of flavor. I’d buy another.
