Buchanan's De Luxe 12 Year

Nose is phenolic, floral, oak, light peat and lemon zest. Arrival is thin, tart, a hint of barley sugar and barrel tannin. Finish is dry, mostly tannins, pepper and a light spice. DeLuxe... not so much.

Peat/smoke seem to dominate, and I like others’ notes on the salinity, but there’s not a lot going on here. Feels like the “professional reviewer” was tasting some other spirit...😜

Easy drinking with dark fruit sweetness, light oak, tobacco smoke, soft floral spice, and a slightly salty bittersweet finish. Not available in Ontario.

Peat, tobacco & light sweetness or fruit. Water brings some smoke. 6 days later, 3rd dram or so since opening the bottle. Today the smoke is light and only in the finish. Its sweet fruit, spice and toffee in the nose. Sweet and rich tasting.

Great for any occasion!
