Connemara Original Peated Single Malt

Connemara whiskey is known for its smoky flavor, which is a result of the peat used in the malting process. The nose has a subtle sweetness, with hints of vanilla and fruit. On the palate, the smoky flavor is more pronounced, with notes of peat, oak, and spice.

A lot of things going on here. Lovely peated nose, with petrol, seasoning herbs, tobacco leaves and oil character. Nice and smooth palate, albeit not as varied as the nose but with plenty of stories to tell:, smoky, sweet, pears, white grapes, light agave and prickly pepperiness.

One of my favorits. You should try it :)
