Eagle Rare Single Barrel Select

I picked up the Brown Jug 2020 Single Barrel Select on sale at my local store. I’ve always really enjoyed Eagle Rare, and figure this would fit perfectly. The flavor certainly provided a stronger, richer hit on the tongue with similar wood, maple, and bacon notes as the original. However it almost felt a little too powerful and took away significantly from the smoothness of the original. I likened it to a bottled-in-bond version of the original, but without the extra alcohol. Strong, rich flavors, but takes away from the smooth drinking.
