Nose 1: getting some heat on the nose early, spice and charred oak, oregano maybe, something herbal. Smells decently complex for its cost.
Taste 1: oak and barrel char is present and fills the sides of the tongue with the good kind of bitterness. Not too spicy but it's noticable, a little pepper and cinnamon. Mouth feel is a little thin but it really coats the pallet and tastes delicious. I think wild turkey fans would really like this bottle.
Nose 2: a lot more sweetness on the second nosing. That charred oak makes me salivate, it smells delicious! Creamy, oaky char, with dark sweet cherries.
Taste 2: for nearly the same price as buffalo trace, this has a lot more character to it. I like the spice and barrell char notes, and it's nice and dark and rich. Lots of vanilla and cherry and oak.
I paid 27 bucks for this bottle and I have to say it's definitely worth it!
If you see this, pick it up! It's a winner!
