Nose is very subtle, oak, hints of anise, menthol. Palate peaks right in the middle with sweet oaky notes laced in baking spices. Finish lingers dry with leather, wood and anise. Not bad for the price. Higher proof on this would be interesting.

I was so excited about this. Regular Elijah Craig is my favorite daily sipper. ECBP is one of my favorite whiskeys ever made. I love a good spicy rye. This starts ok and ends terrible. Almost no finish. Barely any nose. Sticking with Rittenhouse. Don’t make this a national release Heaven Hill. This is not up to your standard. Will not be buying the toasted label as a result of this.
