Remarkable value for a solid Islay! I'm convinced the source for this single malt is Lagavulin... fits right into that flavor profile, albeit at the young end. So cheap that I've used it to make smoky cocktails. I prefer this to the $30 Scarabus single malt @ TW.

First contact is very pleasant, sweet, vanilla butter cookie. Sweetness turns into non-alcoholic spicyness and then into charcoal/bonfire smoke that is long lasting on a tongue. I'd say it's a solid budget smokey scotch. Like a Talisker 10s younger brother.

Nice whisky for this price point. One nose it has nice peaty smell. Has bit of watery taste and after taste is bit peaty and sweet.

Light peated smell, sweeter taste with a please t crackling burn in the mouth. For the aftertaste the peatidness comes back again
