Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon (2019 Release)

This is amazing whiskey. Proof is high but has less bite than you would expect. I love a cask strength whiskey and this is something truly special. Nose: freshly baked corn bread, cherries, cinnamon, caramel, old oak, milk chocolate, pecans, and leather Taste: oily texture to coat your mouth, candied pecans, milk chocolate, cherries, leather, cinnamon and old oak with a bite to remind you of the proof. Finish: long and lingers for minutes with corn bread, toasted marshmallow, cinnamon, candied pecans and cherries.

Very smooth, little sweet.

Mash bill of 74% corn, 15% wheat, 11% barley. This is a hot whiskey, at 137.3 proof. But with a little air and water, it settles nicely. It’s good juice, and more than just a high-proof novelty. If you like ‘em hot and have the scratch for a high-end whiskey like this, it’s worth having in your bourbon collection.
