Reviewed January 15, 2024 (edited August 12, 2024)Bruh, So excited I didnt take my time with this one. Just went right in with tasting. Oak is rich, not thick but full flavored , on first taste not sure what I tasted besides oak, oak and more oak. Maybe vanilla but this is heavy on the sweet oak. Like no other. Very nice pour. After Second approach On the nose… heavy vanilla oak Taste… damn good heavy oakie goodness. Sweet vanilla …. Easy to drink. Palate… long smooth oakie, a hint of a hug. But nothing like a Stagg or even EC Barrel Proof. 116 goes down extremely well. Doesn’t taste the proof. But I will say … the length of the slight hug is quite long. Hangs on nicely This is a very drinkable bourbon. If i was comparing to another bottle …Ragged Branch double oak. The only difference for me, is that RB is more woody although its not a double double. WW DD is sweet and an excellent pour.99.0 USD per BottleKroger Marketplace -

Reviewed March 14, 2023 (edited August 12, 2024)I believe Batch 2. Nose: dark wood shavings, dark fruit, caramel Palate: tons of sweet oak influence. Thick and chewable. Subtle dark fruit. Finish: a slightly different wood flavor comes through. Almost like going from a cherry or mohagony into a hickory. If i said “wood” a lot here, thats because that’s what this tastes like. If you could turn wood into a liquid and then drink off a wood luge, it would be a similar experience to this. With that being said, its actually pretty good. Would i pay $100 (MSRP) for it? Nah.
