Highland Park 12 Year

One of the first peated Scotches I purchased. Approachable smoke with toffee and some light tropical fruit beneath, and balanced. Wasn't blown away but my palate has matured since. Need to revisit.

Perhaps I'm just new to the world of scotch, but this is the most well-balanced scotch I've tasted. I've been wanting to get into smokey whiskies, but I didn't want a campfire in my face. So the subtle smokey finish on this whiskey is a delight.
