Highland Park 12 Year

If the Islay Rushmore scare you a little, this is a good gateway into the peated world. It's a great fusion of sweet, fruity and floral highland malts with a touch of peat that open the horizons of a smoky future. It's a sip of a highland malt followed by a french kiss from a pack-a-day smoker.

2.5 Stars - Very nice; two samples Amazing aroma. Flavor is a bit sharp and thin. 15 years ago I remember this being very rich and buttery. Not finding that now.

Smells of grilled pineapple, tastes of wood, orange finish.
