Highland Park Magnus

I like this less and less the more that I drink. It reminds me of a tootsie roll, and that's not a good thing. I'll be sticking to the 12 year...

It's not the most complex whisky in the world. It's far the most boring, however. If you find Bowmore 12 friendly and pleasant, you'll feel the same about this. It's very similar to that or Classic Laddie but replace the brine and saltiness of both with a hint of traditional peat and add a bit of citrus for good measure. It's an ultra-drinkable, friendly dram to enjoy when you want to relax while enjoying something nice without letting it steal the thunder of whatever you're doing while you sip.

Fudgey. A bit of peat. Drinkable, but not exceptional. Worth trying, but not going to buy again.

This is lovely, a little sweet and smokey.
