Horse Soldier Premium Straight Bourbon

A bit sharp, initial hit gives way to a sweeter, peppery taste that lingers a bit. Vanilla develops as time goes on and more flavors develop as you work your way through the pour.

Been a long time since last reviewing this one. Enjoying a glass neat. Nose - vanilla caramel custard dessert on the nose along with a nice light nutty smell. Quite a good and sweet nose to this one. Taste - sweet and sugary front along with cherries and almonds. The finish is rather short with a nice peppery burn to even out the sweetness. There is more nuttiness and Smokey hints to go along with the short finish. Overall - great nose, great story behind the bottle. Juice is good but not great.

A great bourbon. Smooth with only a hint of burn. Easy to drink straight.
