Isaac Bowman Straight Bourbon Finished in Port Barrels

They make some great stuff at this distillery. Maybe I’m just not a fan of port barrel finishes in general.

Pleasant surprise ordering this at bootleggers. Getting the nice Port flavor on the back end. Too bad my Braves sucked this postseason

Picked this bad boy up from the distillery in Fredericksburg. Beautiful brown red color Nose: Berries and vanilla. Plum. Fruit. Taste: brown sugar notes, very light oak, bread. Candied fruit. Not complex but super easy to drink. Slow late burn/spice. I think I’m liking this better than Angels Envy

I like this expression a lot from Issac Bowman. It's sweet and smooth. A solid choice for a mildly abnormal sipper bourbon. My Bourbon/Whiskey pallet is still pretty underdeveloped with more than 50 tracked tastings, but less than 100 as of 2022. (That's not all consumed, just all appreciated outside of shots and mixers)
