Jefferson's Reserve Twin Oak Custom Barrel Bourbon

Nose: pleasant with applewood and spice. Some salty brine cashews. Palate: interesting cherry pie with a pleasant lingering spice. Burnt brown sugar to finish.

Wood! Oak! Wood! Some how they made this oak bomb uniquely enjoyable! Sweet oak on the nose, with some heat, vanilla and burnt sugars coming though. Palate is sweet oak spices. The finish is long as it goes from those sweet spices to oak tannins and tart.

Caramel sweetness, some sour-sweetness and woody spice. Best for slow sipping.

Oak at the forefront, then caramel. Not complex. Did I mention oak? If you like wood in your bourbon, this is your drink. By wood, I don’t mean vanilla or toast flavors, I mean wood, like pencil shavings.
