Dark caramel corn. Nice long finish. Excellent sipping rum. Right where you would expect a rum of this age and quality. I tasted next to the 12 year. No comparison.

Gorgeous nose in a smooth and very approachable rum. Definitely drinks at its proof. Would love to encounter this at a cask strength. Lovely finish. If you are a bourbon lover, don’t hesitate to take this foray into rum. Nose: vanilla bean, caramel, cola syrup, buttered and caramelized brown sugar, mint chocolate ala Andes mints, notes of pot still, pecan and cinnamon twirl pastries, candied oranges. Palate: molasses, cola syrup, rich chocolate, dates, almonds, vanilla & maple bourbon syrup. Finish: caramel macchiato, amaretto

Nose: Carmel, maple, brown sugar, vanilla and oak. Palate: Silky smooth mouth feel, with syrupy sweet notes of caramel, vanilla, apple and oak. Finish: Long-lasting flavors of caramel and vanilla; fleeting cola and apple notes zing through. A very light, peppery burn is detected towards the tip of the tongue and palate.
