Knappogue Castle 12 Year Bourbon Cask Matured

At Paddy's in Bar Harbor. Green apple, honey, malt, some caramel. Palate is moderately sweet with more malt, biscuit, honey. I had heard of this but I need this at the house now.

Caramel, butterscotch, sweet, oaky,

Tastes a bit more “peety”. Almost like a really smooth scotch.

Uncorking - rich chocolate and mint nose. Crushed apples and some vanilla. Maybe almost amaretto. Taste is rich, little bit of oil, menthol, vanilla, spices, apricot pits and braeburn apple in the finish with warming on the end. Really complex. One of the most interesting noses and mid palate I've had to date.
