Knappogue Castle 12 Year Bourbon Cask Matured

Lemongrass, honey, melon on the nose. The taste is bright and slightly acidic with apples, herbs, and fresh vegetal notes like greens and cucumber, but there is some character from the barrel: woody tannin and a wisp of smoke. Very intriguing, one that sets itself apart from other Irish whiskies I've had.

At Chatters. Bit hot but complex. Coffee, toffee, Carmel, and oak. One of the better Irish (Yellow and Green excluded).

One of my go-tos. Very accessible price and great taste.
