Lagavulin Distillers Edition

Absolutely amazing. Smoothest islay I’ve tried, but isn’t missing the key flavours. Glad I have a few of these

2006-2021 edition Nose: Caramel, peat smoke, plums, salt (mesmerizing nose) Palate: First thin, but then the smoke starts to gather, bringing seawater, fruits and spices in the mix. Finish: Oak, spices, faint smoke. This is a truly astonishing whiskey, compining some of the nice characters of speyside to the allready excellent islay whiskey. The smokiness is tuned down from the 16 yo.
