Lagavulin Distillers Edition

I’m not nearly as impressed as I thought I’d be. It may be the fact that I’m getting a dram from the last section of the bottle at the bar but it comes across a little one note to me. Sure, I get a hint of the sherry but it’s dark and muddled with chocolate and malt. It’s like a more refined Bowmore 18 year. Like the Bowmore it’s too dark for my taste. $170 in Ontario.
